Matthew Moulton Associate

Matthew is a tenacious litigator with a penchant for complex procedural issues. Matthew’s focus is to get results for his clients in a cost-effective manner with an eye to the early resolution of cases. Representing clients in all industry sectors, Matthew is involved in disputes that range from the defence of insurance claims to judicial reviews and other public law matters. With scholarly interests and a practice focus in Aboriginal law, Matthew also provides advice and representation to clients in this area.

However, Matthew is just as comfortable in the boardroom as the courtroom and is routinely involved in transactional work and providing advice on corporate law matters. He has represented and provided advice to clients that range from national and multinational retailers and insurers to local entrepreneurs and start-ups.

Matthew is steadfastly committed to diversity and inclusion and sits as chair of the local Aboriginal Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, serves on the Law Society’s Indigenous Law Committee, and has been a member-at-large for the Canadian Bar Association’s National SOGIC Community Forum.
