Ken Byrne has a dynamic practice spanning subdivision development, residential purchase and sales, to quieting of titles and mechanics' lien actions. In addition, he often represents land owners in expropriation and municipal tax assessment appeals.
Community involvement is important for Ken, he is an active member of several committees of the Canadian Bar Association NL Branch (prior chair of the Civil Litigation section), a prior member of the Board of Directors of Choices for Youth, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to challenged youth in the Province; and, he is currently a citizen’s representative and the treasurer of the Victoria Park Foundation.
In 2000 Ken was the assistant editor for the MIT Press publication “(Daniel) Dennett’s Philosophy: A Comprehensive Assessment”.
He is a proud member of the Canadian Property Tax Association: CPTA is a group dedicated to the exchange of ideas and information relating to both commercial and industrial property tax issues arising across Canada.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.), a Master of Arts (MA) from Memorial University, and is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick Law School; Ken was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 2008.
