Deborah Hutchings is a senior litigator with extensive experience in the areas of maritime law, corporate and commercial litigation and banking law, insurance law, asset recovery and insolvency and construction law. Deborah also acts for and advises fishers in the sale, acquisition and financing of fishing enterprises. Deborah is noted for a number of years in the international publication "Who's Who Legal" as one of Atlantic Canada's preeminent maritime lawyers.
Deborah serves on various committees with the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Canadian Bar Association and St. John’s Board of Trade. She is also an adjunct professor with the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation at Memorial University where she teaches risk management. Deborah received her law degree from the University of New Brunswick and was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 1990.
